This is the third post in the Bias Study.
The Availability Heuristic is in some ways similar to the Anchor Bias. In the Availability Heruristic, ideas or examples that come to mind quickly are valued over those that take longer to recall, or examples that are easier to remember are better than those that are harder to remember.
Last in First out.
Just as in the Anchor bias we see that humans tend to be sequential in our recall abilities.
To counter this Bias a person must do their research and ensure that the information is actually relevant and applicable to the discussion.
That’s a novel idea..Feasible, Applicable, and Suitable I feel like I’ve heard that before.
