Bias Study: Self Serving Bias

This is the eighth post in the Bias study.

The Self Serving Bias is any cognitive or perceptual process that is distorted by the need to maintain and enhance self-esteem, or the tendency to perceive oneself in an overly favorable manner.

In other words this is the thing where, when stuff goes right you did it, when it goes wrong someone else did it.

Most of the time we call these people Narcissists.

So really, being aware that you have these tendencies is really the way to counter them.
